NAME : Tom Eastwood BAND JOB: Lead Guitarist & Backing Vocals MEMBER SINCE: 2006 EQUIPMENT: Gibson gutars, Marshall amps, Jack Daniel's beverages, a Korg Kaoss Pad and Dunlop, Ibanez and Boss pedals INFLUENCES: GNR, Muse, Hendrix, Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, Gary Moore, Brian Robertson, Matt Schofield and Mark Knoplfler BIOGRAPHY: I started playing guitar when I was 15 and have been in bands ever since, having lessons from this crazy flamenco rock guitarist known to us as Sancho, who grew up and frequently played with the legend that is Guthrie Govan. After a few months of lessons and a lack of social life I went off on my own and was continually trying to push my abilities and consequently paid the price with shabby GCSE and A Level results. I worked at a few guitar shops where I watched and learned from some very accomplished players. When I was 17 I began teaching guitar and still do to date as well as attending numerous jam and acoustic nights around Romford and Brentwood. I attended the audio engineering diploma course at SAE institute and did some session guitar and bass work on countless productions. Since graduating I am hoping to complete the progression year of the course which will result in a BA(hons). I have also been recording rough sketches of my own material and hope to collaborate with a lyricist/singer and take the world by storm. FAVOURITE LINKS: none |
