We Are Under Ether

Under Ether are a five piece rock covers band who have been playing together on the Pub and Club scene since 2005. The band members are semi professional musicians with eclectic tastes plenty of experience in the music industry. Adding to this the performance is fronted with a unique mix of male and female vocals giving a much wider range of material.

Our aim is to offer a completely unique performance with Pop, Rock and Indie covers from the 60's to the Present day. The band comes complete with a full PA system and Lighting Rig to suit venues from small pubs to large halls.

Under Ether News

May 2010 - NEW BASSIST ON THE HORIZON...PLUS, CHARITY WORK AND THE WORLD CUP! - It is with regret that James, the penultimate founding member of the band, is to leave Under Ether to emmigrate to Brazil. Apart from being a top bassist (and the van driver for most of our gear!) James has been a tremendous colleague to us all and we will miss him dearly. James' last gig is currently scheduled for The Bull PH, Colchester on 19 June 2010 so come along to see him off!

Under Ether recently had a brilliant gig performing for Crossroad's Children's Charity at Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club. The kids and the carers had a great time and together we helped raise lots of cash to help the charity running. Photos will be added to the website shortly!O

n the charity theme, we have also been asked to perform on Bank Holiday Monday, 30 August 2010 at The Dukes Head, Walthamstow to raise money for local guidedogs for the blind. This will be a quality bash with another 3 or 4 bands performing on the day, a BBQ and of course, lots of booze! More details to follow in near future.F

inally, UE are playing at The Millhouse in Dagenham on 18 June 2010, which is also the date of England's 2nd World Cup match against Algeria. Why not come down and see the boys play and then rock out?! Allez Les Bleus...Oops, Come on England!!!

March 2010 - THE HUMAN WORM AND EASTER! - After a busy start to the year and with Johnny settling in brilliantly on the drums, we've already had some great gigs so far. These include The Bull, Colchester (had our first mosh pit!) and The Link, Harlow (who have re-booked us for September 2010 - check the gig guide). We're now raring to go for the next quarter!

The next gig is at The Dagenham Trades Hall on 3 April 2010 where we will be rocking out for the birthday of their entertainments manager, Doug aka 'The Human Worm' (in reference to his dancing, not his anatomy!). There'll be a disco all night beginning at 7.30pm with UE playing 2 sets from 8.30pm. Its a licensed bar until 12am so come along for the party!

If you cant make the Saturday, we'll be playing The Swan PH, Brentwood on Sunday 4th April (EASTER SUNDAY) from 8.30pm. Its notoriously a popular night in town so get there early to find a place to perch! With no work the following day, should make for a cracking night.

January 2010 - DRUMMERS, OLD & NEW!! - After much thought and consideration, CJ has decided to leave the band in order to spend more time with his young family. We would like to wish CJ all the best for the future! In his place we are delighted to announce that Johnny Sailsbury will be taking over on the stix. Johnny is an experienced drummer and has depped for us on one previous occassion. He first gig as an Etherian will be at The Welcome Club on 29 January 2010...so come along and check him out!!

November 2009 - At 60% we pulled it off - Many thanks to all your Etherians who made the gig at the Fatling and Firkin on Saturday 7 November 2009. With Lil Jo Power already depping for Lou on the night, a massive thank you has to go to Stefan for standing in at EXTREMELY short notice for CJ on drums.

November 2009 - Fat Girls!! - Remember, become a member of the Under Ether group on facebook. Jon has said that if we break the 320 friends barrier by 23 December 2009, he will play the popular self-penned 'Fat Girls Need Love Too' at the Bull gig on Christmas Eve and You Tube it!!! Getting adding peeps!!

September 2009 - NEW OCTOBER GIG AT DUKES HEAD, WALTHAMSTOW!! - Due to a cancellation we have been offered a gig on 2 October 2009 at The Dukes Head Pub in Walthamstow. Some of you will remember that we were due to play at this venue earlier year but had to cancel due to CJ breaking his collarbone. As this is our first gig there (and in true East End style)...'Come on me old Chinas, get your khybers down the Duke's Loaf on 2nd October for a Friar Tuck-ing good shindig!!

JULY 2009 - GLASTONBURY?? IT WAS ALL HAPPENING AT THE BASFEST '09!! - A massive thank you to all our followers for making the effort to see us headline in the Boom Room marquee at the BASFEST. It was a great gig (once Lou's mike was eventually switched on!) and with the legend, Dancing Dave, whipping the crowd into a frenzy by throwing some serious shapes, it rocked!!! Check out the following link of our performance of Sweet Child of Mine (and an honorary Dancing Dave appearance)...Youtube Vids

Jun 2009 - GUESS WHO's HEADLINING THE BOOM ROOM STAGE AT BASFEST 2009? - We're please to announce that we have been invited to headline the Boom Room Stage at this years BasFest in Gloucester Park Basildon on the Sunday 5th July. We're on at 6pm and it's FREE entry!! For more details see BASFEST
